Before starting the challenge, take a look at our fantastic free resource Increasing Active Travel to School - a six-week, step-by-step guide. The guide contains ideas and activities to help you prepare for the challenge.
We have a selection of promotional posters and web banners to help you publicise the Big Shift at your school - click on the links below to download.
You will need to complete a baseline data survey before you start the challenge as we use this information to calculate your targets. Click here for a survey you can use. If you already have this data from a survey carried out in the past 6 months then you can use that, as long as it used the exact same question and possible answers.
Use our Power Point presentation to introduce The Big Shift in your school. It can be used before or after completing your baseline data survey.
Provide your pupils with their own certificate to congratulate them on taking part on all five days of The Big Shift.
